The GLC is the SUV that fits the coast rather than fights it. Big enough for four or five and the week's luggage, small enough to slot into a Kotor side street, it is the easy default for a family doing the Riviera properly.
It is the quiet middle of the fleet: more presence than a saloon, less width than the GLE or the G-Class, and a diesel that shrugs off the long run to Ulcinj or the climb to Lovcen. The AMG-line trim gives it the look without the supercar deposit.
Most people book it for a full week and never feel they compromised: it does the airport run, the supermarket, the beach road and the mountain pass with the same unflustered ease, and it parks where the bigger SUVs make you think twice. If you want one car that simply gets on with the holiday, this is the sensible money on the page.
It seats five rather than seven; if the whole party lands together, the Q7 is the one to book, with the GLC kept back for the lighter days.
