Budva to Cetinje over the hill
The old royal capital is half an hour up the switchbacks, cooler in every sense in August. A proper mountain road with guardrails and views; the SUVs make easy work of it.
South to Petrovac and Bar
Carry on past Sveti Stefan and the coast road keeps giving: Petrovac for lunch under the pines, then the quieter run toward Bar and the old olive country. Less crowded than the Budva end, and the effortless coastal cruising a comfortable saloon was made for.
